En Penny Lane hay un barbero enseñando las fotografías
De todas las cabezas que ha tenido el gusto de conocer
Y toda la gente que viene y va se detiene a saludarse
En la esquina hay un banquero con un coche
Los niños se ríen de él a sus espaldas
Pero el banquero nunca lleva impermeable
Cuando llueve a cántaros, eso es muy raro.

Penny Lane está en mis ojos y en mis oídos
Allí, bajo los azules cielos de los barrios de la periferia
Me siento, y volviendo al tema.

En Penny Lane hay un bombero con un reloj de arena
Y en su bolsillo lleva una foto de la Reina
Le gusta tener limpio su camión de bomberos
Es una máquina limpia .

Tras la marquesina, en medio de la isleta
La guapa enfermera esta vendiendo amapolas en un bandeja

En Penny Lane el barbero afeita a otro cliente
Vemos al banquero sentado esperando a que le corten el pelo
Y el bombero entra corriendo
Bajo una lluvia torrencial, eso es muy raro.
